Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi Pickup — Delhi Sightseeing & Drive to Agra

Our driver picks you up from Delhi Airport or your Delhi hotel and begins a half-day Delhi sightseeing tour covering the capital's most important landmarks. Visit India Gate — the 42-metre war memorial arch on Rajpath, with the eternal flame burning for the unknown soldier. Qutub Minar, UNESCO World Heritage Site — the world's tallest brick minaret (73 m), built in 1193. Humayun's Tomb — India's first garden tomb and the architectural predecessor of the Taj Mahal. The serene Lotus Temple (Bahai House of Worship) and Raj Ghat (Gandhi's cremation memorial). Drive to Agra (3 hours on NH19) and check into your hotel with Taj Mahal views if possible.

  • Delhi pickup from airport or hotel
  • India Gate, Qutub Minar (UNESCO) & Humayun's Tomb
  • Lotus Temple & Raj Ghat
  • Drive to Agra (3 hrs)
  • Hotel check-in; Taj Mahal preview at dusk (if time permits); overnight
Day 2: Taj Mahal at Sunrise — Agra Fort & Drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri

Today is one of the most iconic moments of any India trip. Rise before dawn and reach the Taj Mahal's east gate as it opens at 6 AM — the Taj at sunrise, when the pink and gold light transforms the white marble into something almost supernatural, is an image that stays with you forever. Your guide explains the extraordinary story of Shah Jahan's monument to his wife Mumtaz Mahal — 20,000 workers and 22 years (1631–1653) produced the world's greatest monument to love. Visit the red sandstone Agra Fort — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the original seat of the Mughal Empire. Drive to Jaipur (6 hours) via the abandoned Mughal ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri — another UNESCO site, built and abandoned within 15 years due to water scarcity.

  • Taj Mahal at sunrise (opens 6 AM) — world's most beautiful monument
  • Agra Fort — UNESCO Mughal fortress
  • Mehtab Bagh — Taj view across the river
  • Drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri (UNESCO abandoned city)
  • Arrive Jaipur; hotel check-in; overnight
Day 3: Jaipur Sightseeing — Amber Fort, Jal Mahal, City Palace, Hawa Mahal & Jantar Mantar

A full day in the Pink City. Begin at Amber Fort with an elephant ride to the entrance — the 16th-century hilltop fortress offers spectacular views and the extraordinary Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors). Stop at Jal Mahal (Water Palace) — a palace that appears to float on Man Sagar Lake, surrounded by the Nahargarh hills (best viewed from the road). City Palace houses the royal family's collection in a beautiful sequence of courtyards and buildings. Hawa Mahal's facade of 953 windows, designed for royal ladies to watch street life, is Jaipur's most photographed image. Jantar Mantar's 19 astronomical instruments, including the world's largest stone sundial, make up a unique UNESCO observatory. End at the colourful bazaars.

  • Amber Fort — elephant ride + Sheesh Mahal
  • Jal Mahal — Water Palace on Man Sagar Lake
  • City Palace & Jaipur royal museum
  • Hawa Mahal — 953 windows facade photography
  • Jantar Mantar — UNESCO stone observatory
  • Overnight Jaipur
Day 4: Jaipur to Jodhpur — Blue City & Mehrangarh Fort

Drive 5 hours to Jodhpur — the magnificent Blue City, where the indigo-painted houses surrounding the enormous Mehrangarh Fort create one of India's most dramatic urban landscapes. The 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort stands 125 metres above the city on a rocky outcrop, its massive walls protecting extraordinary palaces and museums. From the ramparts, the view of the blue city below and the Thar Desert on the horizon is truly spectacular. Visit the Jaswant Thada white marble cenotaph. End at the Sardar Market clocktower bazaar — try the famous Jodhpuri sweets and local spices.

  • Drive Jaipur to Jodhpur (5 hrs)
  • Mehrangarh Fort — panoramic blue city views from 125 m
  • Fort museum — palanquins, weapons & royal costumes
  • Jaswant Thada — white marble cenotaph
  • Clocktower & Sardar Market; overnight Jodhpur
Day 5: Jodhpur to Udaipur — via Ranakpur Jain Temple

Drive from Jodhpur to Udaipur (5 hours) via the stunning Ranakpur Jain Temple — 15th century, featuring 1,444 intricately carved marble pillars, each unique in design, set in a tranquil forested valley with deer grazing around the temple complex. Allow 1–1.5 hours here. Arrive in Udaipur — the City of Lakes — and check into your hotel. The first view of Udaipur — lake palaces, white city, and surrounding Aravalli hills — is invariably stunning.

  • Drive Jodhpur to Ranakpur Jain Temple (2.5 hrs)
  • Ranakpur Temple — 1,444 carved marble pillars (15th century)
  • Continue to Udaipur (2.5 hrs)

Full-day Udaipur. City Palace with its extraordinary collection of palaces and the stunning view of Lake Pichola from the top. Fateh Sagar Lake — a 19th-century reservoir with three islands including Nehru Island. Lake Pichola boat ride to admire the famous Lake Palace Hotel (an 18th-century marble palace on a lake island) and Jag Mandir. A Kathputli puppet show — Rajasthan's most beloved folk art — in the evening at a heritage haveli is a charming and colourful cultural finale to this epic journey.
